The Solaris Toilet is an efficient, cost effective, and environmentally friendly solution to the conventional toilet. Watch this video on our Solaris Toilet YouTube Channel HERE
The photo to the left shows the inner workings of the Solaris Toilet that is concealed under the floor boards during installation. The linear actuator, pushes the piston (the one moving part) forward, activating the dry flush and forcing all solid and liquid waste to be moved into the external waste tank.
A micro-computer is utilized to indicate when the waste tank is full and needs to be emptied and how many "flushes" have occurred.
The photo to the right shows the piston mid "dry flush". The thick plate attached to the piston ensures all solid and liquid waste make it into the external waste tank and minimal residue is left behind. No water is used to transport waste.
The 250 gallon external waste tank is pictured to the left. A top vent (black curved pipe) sits on top of the waste tank to pull fresh air into the tank. An exhaust fan attached to a tall white pipe (right side of waste tank), creates an air flow that ensures odors do not circulate back into the toilet and are instead expelled into the air above the home.
The waterless toilet design paired with a large waste tank makes the Solaris Toilet a preferred sanitation solution when living off-grid. Neither a septic system or sewer connection is used and minimal power usage is required (solar compatible).
